Cried a River and Drowned the Whole World’, reflects the existential dread of living on a dying planet. Within the work, I reflect on facing this challenge whilst being unable to face my own cultural identity. Drowning in the tears of others, guilty for their sins, the main character of the piece wears a mask to shield the small, pink elephant; his child-like id. The work therefore imagines a future where the conflicts of identity, culture and climate intersect.
